Case Study - Chief Ethanol Fuel, INC

Feb 12, 2020, 16:22 PM by Rachel Pope

The original transformer was installed in 1984. Due to a build-up ofLogo flammable gasses, the unit failed gas-inoil analysis completed by SD Myers, so a replacement was required. Chief Ethanol needed:

  • Minimal downtime
  • Exact transformer replacement
  • Exact HV load interrupter switch replacement
  • Engineering support
Only PSC could offer an exact replacement that met critical dimensions for existing LV and HV interfaces and provide matching LV flexible connectors. The total installation was six hours, including the removal of the original switch and transformer, and saved the customer $50,000.
