LRT-200 Load Tap Changer

In 1978, the GE Transformer Plant in Rome, Georgia first introduced its Load Vac Tap Changers. These units, mounted directly to sub-station transformers, are used as a means of controlling voltage levels in finite increments.

The units employ a unique three-phase switch mechanism that is mounted in one of two different configurations depending on the power rating of the Transformer.
