From 1903 to 1987 the Pittsfield Works pioneered and manufactured the transformers that would help power America. The largest transformer ever built was for the Bureau of Reclamation (Phoenix, AZ). It weighed 900 tons and was rated at 500-Mva, and cost two million dollars. All of the drawings and documentation for these units remain in Pittsfield today, and Parts Super Center retains the rights. Even now, the PSC can provide many parts for Transformers dating back to the early 1900’s! All we need is a Serial Number off the Nameplate and complete description of the part.
