GE Resistors and Rheostats (IC9033, IC9133 and IC8070)IC9033 GE Resistors are wire or ribbon-wound units for used on any AC or DC power or control circuit. They are corrosion resistant, and can withstand considerable shock without damage making them suitable for mounting on traveling cranes, portable equipment and other movable structures subject to vibration. The IC9141 Stainless-steel Grid Resistors are punched-grid resistors mounted in boxes suitable for stacking. They can be installed either indoors or with an outdoor enclosure and are designed to withstand the shock and vibration normally associated with cranes and similar machinery. Plate Rheostats are nothing more than a resistor that comes with a ready means for varying its resistance. GE’s IC8070 are usually found in field circuits of motors or generators for the control for speed or voltage, or in control circuits. For most applications the size of the Rheostat is determined by the characteristics of the load it must control.
