GE A Series Natural Gas Compressor (FE332D)

GE A Series (formerly designated the FE332D) natural gas compressors provide mid-range horsepower performance in a compact, high-speed design. The 3.5 inch is ideal fit for today’s 1800 rpm drivers. Built for high performance, the A Series compressors offer a wide range of cylinders, rated discharge pressures reach as high as 6,000 psig, are ideal for high-pressure applications, such as gas re-injection, CNG vehicle fueling, and high pressure fuel gas boosting.

TYPE: Engineered for reliability and low maintenance, the balanced opposed A series compressors offer a smooth-operating, easy-to-service design.

FRAME: Features include a heavy-ribbed, reinforced cast iron frame with full-depth main bearing caps to add strength and minimize vibration.

CRANKSHAFT: The single piece crankshaft is forged steel with main and crankpin journals of the same size, allowing for interchangeable bearings.

PISTON RODS: Piston rods are super finished heat-treated alloy steel with lubricated and vented packing.

CONNECTING RODS: Drop Forged steel connecting rods are split on the crank end to allow replacement of the bearings without removal of the crankshaft and rifle drilled for forced lubrication of the bearing.

CROSSHEADS: The one piece ductile iron crossheads with babbitted faces include bronze crosshead bushings and full floating hardened and ground crosshead pins. Crossheads, and rod packing are easily accessible through oversized crosshead doors for fast and easy maintenance.

CYLINDERS: Cylinder configurations include double acting, single acting, and tandem arrangements. Non lube oil free cylinder arrangements are available for special applications.

LUBRICATION/COMPRESSOR: Chain driven positive displacement lube oil pump with internal relief valve. Full flow, non bypassing, spin-on synthetic media lube oil filter with 25 Micron nominal rating. Stainless steel piping downstream of the lube oil filter. Fin type oil cooler (shipped lose).

LUBRICATION/PACKING AND CYLINDER: Plunger pump type force feed lubricator with Lincoln type block distribution systems, cycle indicator, and DNFT No-flow shut-down switch. Stainless steel tubing with plated fittings piped to the cylinders and packing. Lubrication feed rate is fully adjustable. Pump includes a hand priming pump, and rupture relief disk.

STANDARD TESTING: includes an one hour mechanical run test and post test inspection to GE Oil & Gas standards. All cylinders are Hydro-tested to 150% of MAWP.

STANDARD ASSESORIES: Include a digital parts list (1). Digital maintenance/ operating manuals (2). General arrangement drawings. Lifting eyes. Special tools; spanner wrench for piston, rod insert tool.

OPTIONAL ITEMS: Variable volume clearance pockets, suction valve unloaders, extra long or two compartment distance pieces, sour gas trim, 10 Micron oil filters, vibrations switches, CSA or XP No Flow switches, export boxing, immersion oil heaters, explosion relief doors, cylinder indicator valves, flywheels and drive couplings.
